James Honell

Coach Honell has been involved with the sport of Track and Field for over 35 years as both a competitor and a coach.   He received his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Recreation and then his Master's Degree in Education.  He has coached at both the College and the High School levels in Southern California.  This past 4 seasons he has coached the Long and Triple Jumps at Bishop Kelly High School.  He has helped qualify numerous athletes for the state meet where he had 15 State medalists including the State Girls Long Jump Champion, where she also set the State 4A Record with a jump of 18' 10".  Coach Honell is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach.   

Justin Lewis

Justin grew up in a family of throws coaches in Burlingame, Ca.  Justin's mentors were his dad and his uncle who have been dedicated to coaching the throws for over 45 years.  Justin started coaching at the high school level in 2003 at Mills HS in Millbrae, CA where in 8 years the Mills Throwers racked up 80+ Peninsula Athletic League medals, 24 PAL Champions, 6 Central Coast Section Medalists, a CCS Champion and 2 CA State Meet qualifiers.  He then moved to Junipero Serra HS in San Mateo, CA.  In his 2 years he coached 3 55'+ shot putters, a WCAL League Champion, 3 CCS medalists, and 2 CA State Meet qualifiers.  In June 2012, Justin moved to Boise where his wife's family lives.  He started coaching at Bishop Kelly in 2013.  His athletes produced school records in the boys shot and discus, a State Champion in the Boys Discus, 2nd place in the Boys Shot, as well as State Medalists in the Girls Shot and Discus.  Justin lives in Boise with his wife Courtney who is a 4th grade teacher at White Pine Elementary.

Coen Jardine

Coen joined the Dash coaching staff this season and is assisting with our Distance group.  Coen ran for Mountain View HS and was a part of their Back to Back Boys State Championship teams in 2015-16.  He originally started his college career at the University of Montana on a Cross Country/Track Scholarship.  He currently attends BSU where he plans to walk on with the Cross Country team in the Fall.  We as excited to have Coen join the staff and help build our distance program with the Dash

Payton Jolley

Payton returns to the Dash as a Coach this Summer after a successful career as an athlete.  She currently attends Eastern Oregon University on a Track scholarship and runs the sprints and jumps both long and triple jump.  She has always been willing to assist teammates with their technique and jumps so coaching is a natural progression for her.  We are excited to have her join the staff

Chris Martineaux - Coach Cheeks

Coach Cheeks is the assistant sprint coach at Bishop Kelly HS.  He joins us this summer to assist with our strength program.  Although you will see him out on the track, his primary role will be to guide the older athletes in the weight room and help make them stronger, so they can be faster.

Eric England

Eric joined the Dash Staff last summer on a part time basis.  He came back this year and helped many of our jumpers achieve personal bests.  Eric is a 7 time All-American in the Long and Triple Jumps as well as a 2 time NAIA Champion in the Triple Jump.  Last  summer Eric competed in the US Olympic Trials where he finished 20th.  He will be assisting with both Winter and Summer sessions while he continues to train and persue his Olympic Dream.  He is currently training in Southern California, but when he comes back, he assists and works with the jumpers.
